Abstracts
Abstract Submission Information (updated 6/19/09):
Late, breaking absracts may still be submitted as long as space is available. Abstracts received after July 20 may not be included in the Symposium Proceedings book.
Please format the abstract using the criteria below:
- page size 8 1/2 x 11 inches, portrait layout, white background, 1 inch margins
- Font Times New Roman, size 12
- Single line spacing
- Left justification, using hard returns only for new paragraphs
Send your abstract electronically as a PC-compatible e-mail attachment (preferably MS Word document or a txt file) or on PC compatible media to symposium@psu.edu with Summer Symposium Abstract in the header.
Abstracts will be compiled in the Summer Symposium Procedings Booklet for distribution in hard copy to registered participants present at the symposium. After the Symposium, any publishing house or library is welcome to purchase a copy if booklets are still available.

Poster Dimensions
Poster dimensions are to be 36 inches by 46 inches, layout may be either landscape or portrait style.For poster session, velcro attachment material will be provided. Push pins and thumb tacks may not be used.
Poster Set-up Instructions
Upon arrival at the Summer Symposium, you will receive a proceedings book at the registration table. In the back of that book is an author index. Locate your name in the index, then go to the page in the book where your abstract is printed. There you will see the number to the left of your abstract title. This is your poster number.Posters are to be set up at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2009, and will be posted in numerical order. Locate the presentation board with your number and set up your poster. Velcro attachment material will be provided.
